And then, there are some days when people just make me want to smile.
Maybe it's just when the weather gets colder and I'm pulling out sweaters for the first time in a long time and wrapping myself in piles of blankets at night, I inadvertedly transfer the warm fuzziness to everyone around me. I don't know. There's something nice about the fall though — there's a crispness in the air that somehow makes me feel nostalgic and warm.
Fall has always seemed like the shortest season to me — it's so easy to pick out the one day when suddenly, the weather snapped to cold and things were definitely not summery anymore, and then, day after Halloween, the best of it is over. I hate November. But fall — it stirs up memories of apple-picking and making collages out of the foliage — and it smells better than any other time of year.

yeah, it's always been my favorite too. i love the smell of fall. but hey - the beginning of november is cool too! thats my birthday! lol
