09.18.2001:Deprivation

There is not enough time in the day or night to fit in a solid eight hours of quality, uninterrupted sleep I fear. And even when there is, I wake up before I mean to.

Yesterday, I woke up at 7:30, in a panic, tried to get up out of bed to run out the door and do God knows what, but was overcome with dizziness I was so tired. I fell back asleep, but I don't think it was enough.

I keep having really weird dreams.

I want to take a nap.

When I was in high school, I always used to wake up ridiculous hours like 2:30. And my sleep deprived brain would think 2:30 was 6:30 that I was running 40 minutes late, so I'd hop up and start the shower and all that good stuff. And then after a few minutes I'd realize the difference between 2 and 6 on the digital clock, feel like an idiot, and go back to sleep.

Word.

Napping has many advantages.

On the other hand, so does being on a normal sleep cycle. It's weird, really; I always kept vampire hours in high school without too much difficulty, but now that I'm in college and all grown-up and whatnot (don't fear the sarcasm), I can't go on 3 hours' sleep without desperately needing a nap the next day. I feel like a dreadful old fart.

Talk about wierd dreams...for about a week now one of my roomies has been talking to me really loud in her sleep...and trying to carry on a conversation with me only to forget it the next day. Yeah it's not so good for sleep patterns...but yeah...just a tid bit for ya :-@
