Open Letter

Dear Dannon,

I understand that you had the environment in mind when you decided to take the plastic lids off the tops of your yogurt containers. That's a fine cause. I support the environment. I don't want to weigh it down with useless plastic, really I don't. But is there something else that could be done? Something to prevent Yogurt Explosion?

It's been a few years since I had the unfortunate experience of opening my bag to discover the yogurt I thought had been so safetly sealed up, was in fact, splattered all over the insides. I'd forgotten that sticky way it coats everything, how when you try and wipe it, it just seaps into the bag and coats it with a filmy yogurt layer that will never really go away. I'd forgotten how it smells, not just right after the incident, but really, for the rest of the bag's life. Now, I remember.
